COURTS OPEN MAY 1ST!

Please read thoroughly for information on new booking system.

We’re excited to announce a new booking software for our tennis and pickleball courts, designed to make reserving your court time easier and more efficient! Alongside the new system, we’ve updated our court booking rules to ensure fair access for all players. It’s important that you take a few moments to thoroughly read through the new guidelines and familiarize yourself with the booking process. This will help you understand how to properly claim your court time and avoid any scheduling issues. Thank you for your cooperation as we transition to this improved system!

Please see below for court rules and step-by-step instructions for booking online.

ONLINE COURT BOOKING

We are now exclusively using the Communal booking app for online court bookings. We will still allow walk-ons however, priority will go to online bookings.

The GCL courts are not public courts therefore, our main goal is to ensure that current Glenora Community League members have first priority access to bookings.

We will have limited public hours for non-members on Thursdays from 6pm-9pm and Sundays 12pm-3pm for a rate of $30/hr. These must also be booked online on the Communal site.

GLENORA PICKLEBALL CLUB

The Glenora Pickleball Club is a group for intermediate and advanced players that meets twice a week on Mondays and Fridays from 9am-12pm. The cost is free for members or $100 per year for non-members. There are only 30 spots in the club but only 16 spots per session.

If you are interested in hosting a pickleball or tennis club or are interested in additional programming, please contact Peter at sports@glenoracl.com. We can only run programs that are run by volunteers so please consider donating your time!

COURT RULES

  • Courts are open from 9am-9pm- any play outside these hours will result in the ejection from the courts, and could result in the suspension of your membership.

  • All court bookings must be made online using the Communal app.

  • Court bookings are free for members of the Glenora Community League.

    • If you’re not a member, you can purchase a membership here (link to be provided) if you live in the neighbourhood.

    • Or, book during our limited public hours for a fee of $20/hour.

  • Walk-ons are welcome, but priority will be given to those with a valid online booking.

  • Members may book up to 5 court sessions per week.

  • Each booking is for a 1 hour block.

  • You may be asked to show proof of membership—please have a screenshot or login ready on your phone or person. (We will be checking- we promise it’s not personal!)

  • Court access codes may change periodically but will always be included in your online booking confirmation.

  • DO NOT SHARE THE GATE CODE. This helps us ensure that the courts are used by those contributing to their upkeep.

  • Cancellations can be made up to 2 hours before your booking- all paid bookings can be cancelled up to 5 hours ahead of booking in order to be eligible for refund. Refunds are not processed automatically, so please allow up to 48 hours for them to be processed (we are volunteers- not Amazon!)

  • Booking abuses like repeatedly not showing up to your booked court or booking a court for a non-member, may result in suspension of booking privileges. We will be checking to ensure that members adhere to all rules.

  • Be respectful and courteous to all players, spectators, and neighbours. Good vibes only!

  • No foul or abusive language—this is a family-friendly space.

  • Practice good sportsmanship at all times, whether you win or lose.

  • Stay within your booking time. Please finish your game 5 minutes early to allow time to clear the court for the next players.

  • Leave the court clean. Remove all personal items, water bottles, and garbage after your session.

  • No loud music or disruptive noise. Keep volume respectful to nearby residents.

  • Use the courts for tennis and pickleball only. No other activities (e.g. rollerblading, soccer, etc.) are permitted.

  • Do not prop open gates or share access codes—court use is for booked players only.

  • Report any damage or unsafe conditions to the Glenora Community League promptly.

  • Complaints, disrespectful behaviour, or abuse toward neighbours, fellow members, or Community League officials may result in suspension or loss of court privileges and/or membership.
